Cover o non cover: il lavoro dell’interprete e dell’arrangiatore

Per secoli la musica classica ha cercato di perpetuarsi in maniera identica, magari si cambiavano giusto gli organici, oppure i repertori ed i programmi di sala in certi periodi si accorciavano, ma poi in sostanza le musiche che venivano eseguite sono sempre state quelle, ma certamente non sono sempre stati gli stessi autori a doverle eseguire in esclusiva !
Ma qualunque sia il genere di musica di cui si parla se gli autori hanno autorizzato la pubblicazione della propria musica, insomma l’hanno trascritta su pentagramma e poi consegnato lo scritto ad un editore significa che era loro intenzione che venisse e potesse essere anche eseguita da altri interpreti. Per quanto riguarda la musica classica ci sono stati periodi nei quali l’autore specificava con puntiglio come dovesse eseguirsi il pezzo e la filologia applicata alla musica è andata a nozze con tutti quegli interpreti che vogliono (in certi casi pretendono vedasi certa musica rinascimentale) riportare la loro esecuzione “al testo originale”.
Nella musica pop, o leggera che sia, questo desiderio degli autori (non ultimo del mercato) è ancor più valido ed addirittura “l’originalità” dell’interpretazione è ritenuta un fattore positivo e molto ricercato. Certo è necessario che chi si applica in queste trasformazioni non sia un interprete qualunque ma certamente un interprete di talento, anzi vorrei dire che più l’interprete si posso definire “star” più la platea vedrà ed ascolterà con buon auspicio, la sua performance art : ed allora ben vengano le novità, le trasformazioni, le fresche interpretazioni che ti fanno sobbalzare dalla sedie, che ti sorprendono, oppure suscitano, in noi che ascoltiamo, un sentimento di nostalgia, un rimpianto, un brivido … perché poi tanto le versioni originali esistono già ed esisteranno sempre nei dischi e nei video, nel web e pure gli spartiti originali sono depositati e chi volesse eseguirli esattamente come sono stati scritti lo potrà sempre fare!
Occorre ricordare che una volta che un brano musicale è consegnato alla platea e diviene pubblico non è più solamente dell’autore che lo ha scritto e firmato, e neanche è solamente del primo interprete che lo ha interpretato, è di chi quel pezzo lo canterà e lo suonerà.
Poi si ascolteranno cover buone, cover stupefacenti, e cover meno buone …
